FINALLY!!!

After 2+ years in the process, Markee finally has her own room again! This past weekend we finally got her moved into her new room in the basement. Yes, it has no windows and doesn't really meet code, but she is so excited to be able to have a place to herself! New (to her) canopy bed, cool lamp, antique dressers and table - she is stylin' now. Now, to get Marin's room cleaned up and then the family room in the basement cleaned out and usable as a family room, and the garage cleaned out (now that all the furniture is out of it!), and . . . Yeah, like we are ever really DONE with projects!

He did it

Waaaaa. He looks old and tall now. It will take some getting used to for me, but he is happy with his decision. Maybe it will cut some time off his racing - meet on Saturday . . .

Sledding

Every winter when Mom comes up she always says, "I want to go sledding while I am here!" I'm so glad she does because I don't know that we would make time to do it without her. We always have a great time, though. It is so nice to have a hill right across the street from our development so we can do quick potty runs when we need to. This year Grandma Daina gave the 3 boys sleds for Christmas so they had new sleds to break in, and boy did they try to "break them" in - going over every jump they could find, except for Nicolas who was happy to just sled down the hill as fast as he possibly could. Fun was definitely had by all - especially Jeff and Mark who seem to lose about 30 years when you put a sled in their hands and a hill of snow in front of them!

Baby baptism

No, I do not advocate baby baptisms, but it is my "baby" that was baptized a week and a half ago. Yes, I know I am way behind in posting, but now I have a different excuse. The card I have in my camera is now an SDHC and apparently the card slots in my printer don't accept that newer technology. But, Great Scott!, we discovered that there are card reader slots in the base of our monitor! How long have those been there??? :-) Anyway, now that I was able to upload pictures, I can post them.

So, on January 2nd, my little Nicolas, lovingly known as Pickles, took the plunge. He was so excited and glowing! It was fun for him to be baptized with 4 other little boys from our ward - yes, 5 boys all turning 8 and being baptized in the same month. The poor Wolf cub scout leader!

Snow day!

Finally the real snow has made it to Eagle Mountain. Jared, just back from warm California, and Nicolas went out and enjoyed it. Fortunately, it is the perfect snow for a snowman! Jared informed me after this picture that this is the very first snowman he has ever made! I am usually the snowman maker with the kids, but I never make them this big. They had a ball! When they completed their snow friend, Nicolas said, "Okay, now he needs a friend or a child." Jared was done though. Snow is still falling so maybe Nicolas can talk someone into making another later . . . .

All I want for Christmas . . .

you can fill in the rest . . .

Absence

Yes, for anyone that may look at my blog at all, you may have noticed that I have gone almost 3 months without posting. Well, we experienced a terrible computer crash and lost all of our pictures. We were able to retrieve all the pictures up until this year and my pictures from NuSkin Convention. That's it. The rest, lost. And then Jared was laid off and he spends a good bit of time on the computer so I never have the opportunity to sit down for lengths of time to update my blog. So. There are my excuses . . . I mean, reasons, for not posting. I will try to make him schedule time for me to get the computer, or, even better, we will all hope and pray that he GETS A JOB!!!
